We're a team of Social Workers and Family Therapists aiming to provide support to separated families and families engaged in the family law court system by providing Family Therapy in our private practice.

About Us
Who we are
We understand that parenting after separation is challenging, and for those engaged in the family law system this can add additional complications. We work with individuals, families, and separated couples who are navigating parenting after separation and seeking to do what's in the best interest of their children through a stressful and difficult time.
We offer a family therapy package that runs within the NSW school term dates. This comprises of 8 x 60min sessions of therapy across the 4-8 weeks with a combination of individual, parent-child, or family sessions. There are extension packs for larger families or where additional extended family members might be included.
Therapy starts with an individual session for each parent, and then we tailor your personalised family pack to include the child/ren and any other relevant family members.

SWIFT Family Therapy
The SWIFT Packages
The SWIFT packages are chosen based on the number of parties and the number of other family members involved in either self-directed or court-ordered therapy. Each package includes a certain number of 60min sessions, that occur across 4-8 weeks at The SWIFT Clinic in Newcastle West, co-located with The Base Health.
The cost of the packages may be paid by one party,
or shared between the two parties involved.

The SWIFT Base Pack
The SWIFT Base pack is the package available when there are two parties involved, with a maximum of five family members. It includes 8 x sessions of inclusive family therapy.
We start with an individual session with each parent and, where appropriate, a separate session with the child/ren involved, to build an understanding of the family dynamics and develop collaborative goals for the family system.
Following the initial phase, we develop an individualised plan for the remaining 5 - 6 sessions. This usually includes a combination of sessions with each parent individually, the child/ren on their own, or the child/ren with a parent. We take into consideration the age of the children, current and relevant court orders, and feedback from the children and both parties to determine the best plan.
The Solo SWIFT Pack
The Solo SWIFT pack is when one party is engaging in therapy with a maximum of four family members. It includes up to 6 x sessions of inclusive family therapy.
We start with an individual session with the parent and, where appropriate, a separate session with the child/ren involved, to build an understanding of the family dynamics and develop collaborative goals for the family system.
Following the initial phase, we develop an individualised plan for the remaining 3 - 4 sessions. This may include individual parent sessions, child/ren sessions, or combined parent-child sessions. We take into consideration the age of the child/ren, current and relevant court orders, and feedback from the children and the parents to determine the best plan.
